Ashkirk is a small rural village in the Scottish Borders situated south of Selkirk and north of Hawick, approximately one hour’s drive from Edinburgh and Carlisle. The tranquil village has a garage, The Smiddy Bar and Hazelknowe Restaurant, and scenic views of the Border hills; it is a popular location for sight-seeing, cycling, fishing and nature-watching with a variety of plants, birds and animals.

We are situated on the Borders Abbey Way walking route, the Buccleuch Country riding route and the historical Thief Drove Road.

Attractions in Ashkirk include the 18-hole Woll golf course, the Syntons Mains driving range and the Dryden Equine Centre and Ian Stark Equestrian Centre .

We pride ourselves in offering you a personal service whether it is an overnight stay or a day time destination for a picnic or pub visit or a dual activity base with golf, cycling and walking on our doorstep.
